These two platforms are great to begin with, after you create your ad copy. Your ad copy is like a short commercial to drive traffic to the location of your content.
The first is a landing page with a video and an area for visitors to download a PDF or something of value in exchange for their name and email address. We will discuss this more during the challenge.
The structure of your lead capture should have the following key components:
Traffic sources.
Your traffic sources will depend on your products and services offered. For example, you might get traffic from LinkedIn if you target business-to-business (B2B).
CRM Database.
Several different CRM databases are available to choose from; my favorite is AgileCRM because I can one-click LinkedIn contacts directly into the CRM. You will be okay if you have a CRM that fits your needs.
Form Design.
Your form design should be clean and easy to use. There are two schools of thought.
One school suggests using timed pop-up forms, and the other suggests a standard static form; the choice is up to you, and we will get into this more during the challenge.
Requested Information.
Perhaps more important than your form design is the information you are asking for on the form.
As a rule of thumb, the more information you request, the less likely a person will complete the form. Asking for their name and email address is enough information initially. You can ask for more details later in the sales process.
If you ask for their telephone number, make sure you give a good reason, such as do you prefer email notifications, text messages, or both. If they say text or both, you can ask for their telephone number since they permit you.
Email Autoresponders.
Email autoresponders are great tools to automate email and form responses based on triggered responses. There are many good email autoresponders, such as Mail chimp, Get Response, Aweber, or my personal favorite, Active Campaign.
Again, choosing an email autoresponder will depend on your budget, needs, and features needed. We suggest getting one that allows you to customize it as you grow your list.
